On the go – Chrimbo crazies

A lot of public hols and festive seasons send peeps loppy it seems.

Three things so far witnessed, and must be coz of Christmas;

(1) I travel to Halle for work every 2 weeks. Which is a great opportunity to read. At the moment enjoying Santa Barbara by T.C. Boyle. But that is by the by. I do not usually observe much about the passengers. However one guy, in what looks like an expensive business suit has for the last 2 journeys been wearing bauble earrings. Green with golden tinsle.

Makes me wonder:

Has he lost a bet?

Is it casual Tuesday at his office?

(2) I have some respect in winter for the “Hausmeister” ( flat building caretaker/janitor) and what he/she has to do during this time of year. But one on our street choose to use a leaf blower to clear the snow at 6 bloody 30 a.m.

Does he have a bad back?

Or is he a fan of “Tool Time”?

(3) I do not mind decoration in what can sometimes be sterile corporate enviroments. But was in a largish meeting room this week to teach. The decoration was okay, but super sized and so intrusive you had to move it aside to do the work.

Is this Human Resources taking Work Well Being too far to ease the stress of the Xmas lead in?

Do they have a “sponsor a room policy”? Which exists in some companies where an employee/ department is repsonsible for sprucing up meeting/conference rooms.

And is the  “sponsor” an ex Sales Assistant and has he/she confused the window display task of the previous job with their present one?

Witnessed any crazies yet this festive season, or any previous ones?
